DISNEY!

Our trip has really sneaked up on us. I guess because I’ve been so busy. Just suddenly last week I realized we are 3 weeks out from our first trip of the year!

We got our magic bands week before last…

(Also, my Leia and Chewie tsumtsums!)

We are trying to get some of the magic band colours we don’t have. Even though green is my fav colour I’ve typically gotten red or pink in the past. So I went with green this time. Chase picked grey. And we went with a 101 Dalmations name theme 🙂

I almost have a full arm now:

When we get our annual passholder bands, and then our bands for May, I will finally have enough for my entire arm.

When we booked our March trip we didn’t realize it was over Easter. (Neither of us have a day off for Easter. Lame.) We just picked that weekend because it was the closest to Chase’s birthday without being MidSouthCon weekend (the weekend before). I’m sad about missing Easter with my family, but this means I get to meet the Easter Bunny at Disney World and we are going to try to go to the Easter service at the Contemporary before we head home that day.

This trip is an experiment for us, we love doing the dining plan but this time we are skipping it. As such, we only have 2 reservations at the moment, and one hopeful reservation…

1. Garden Grill
For Chase’s birthday! He loves Chip and Dale! I’ve always wanted to eat here, I’ve had a fascination with rotating restaurants since I was a kid…

2. Yak & Yeti
While this kind of food generally isn’t usually up my alley, I’ve heard nothing but good things from friends so I’m excited to try it.

3. Skipper Canteen
We are hoping to get same-day reservations at Skipper Canteen our first day there, for dinner! If not, we are probably going to either try for Plaza for dinner (it’s a fav) or Kona for breakfast one morning (which I know we shouldn’t have a problem getting).

Goals and Plans…

1. Meet the Easter Bunny

I’m stupidly excited to meet the Easter Bunny.

2. Meet Kylo Ren and Chewbacca
This and Star Wars Launch Bay (and a required ride on TOT) are pretty much the only thing we’re going to go do at DHS this trip.

3. Spend more time at Animal Kingdom
We tend to skip over Animal Kingdom… in fact we’ve only been twice in all of our recent trips, and then for only an hour or two. I’ve got fastpasses and dining reservations (Yak and Yeti) all set for spending a solid afternoon there.

4. Epcot Flower and Garden
We have a full Friday day at Epcot, we plan to spend the money doing Future World, and starting at 11 start working our way around the countries, doing the F&G booths for just snacking throughout the day until our Garden Grill reservations around 6.

Whoohoo!

I’ve also been into deep planning on our May trip.
We are taking Kevin with us and he has NO IDEA!!

He knows he is going to Orlando for Megacon with us, but we told him we can’t do Disney World also because it’s too expensive. Our plan is to do Thursday and Friday at the parks, Saturday day at the con, Saturday night and Sunday at the parks. We have our trip booked, kevin’s ticket is paid for, I think we are pretty much a go.

My plan is to have his magic band wrapped up and after we drive under the welcome to Disney World sign, give him his magic band to open up. It’ll be so fun, I can’t wait…

(Speaking of which, I really need to start working on my Megacon costume…)
