i can see the light at the end of the tunnel

…and hopefully it’s not a train.

I worked pretty much non-stop on Bespin all weekend. From the time I got home Friday through around 10:30 last night. Stopped Saturday to run to the bookstore and dinner with my parents. And for a couple of naps.

Again not a great photo of it, the lighting in our bedroom is awful and yellow and I didn’t bother to straighten it out very well, but I was excited to see it like this. I can’t wait til I get it to the point I can press it and really see it without the wrinkles.

So panels 1, 3, and 5 (the fronts and center back) are completely done except the shadow-stitching within the spires.
Panel 4 is 75% done – just gotta finish up the dark brown Xs at the bottom, and then the shadow-stitching.
Panel 2 is the least done – I still have to do the petals on the flowers at the top, I will probably redo the small Xs done at the top also (they were really early before I figured out how I was going to do them), and then all the Xs around the spires.

I’m thinking I will be able to be done next weekend. I have friday off, so I’ll be able to work all day uninterrupted.

My new lining fabric will arrive today, yay! But I’m going to wait til I get my shoes before I dye it.

So my to-do list is…
1. finish embroidery
2. dye the lining/shoes
3. make a mock-up of the collar
4. make the collar
5. line the robe/sew on trim on edges
6. Tunic/pants mock-up
7. Make tunic and pants
8. find leather for belt interior
9. make belt

Anyway. Non-sewing stuff…
Luna hung out with me all weekend.

I forgot to share a pic of the Carrie Fisher patch that arrived last weekend:

I thought about making a new bag for the trip to put all of my Star Wars related patches on. I may just put it on our park bag tho. Doubt I have time to make a bag.

Chase made fancy ramen for dinner last night:

It was good!

Saturday we went out to Gallaway for dinner and we all got dessert to go. Dad dropped his banana pudding in the parking lot. Look how sad this is.

Chase went in to ask for a new one and they were nice enough to replace it for free.

I also have a cold or something which sucks. At least I don’t have to go anywhere but work and can just sit in my bed embroidering like a little old lady.

Finished that Qui-Gon from last week:
