So Friday, I decided not to wear Poison Ivy to work, for the main reason I couldn’t lace it up by myself! I pulled out Hermione instead. So instead of matching Kevin as the Joker I matched Ash, who wore her Slytherin robes. Got to work and very quickly did Kevin’s hair and makeup and had him put the vest and jacket on over his jeans and shirt. Everybody at work loved it.
The suit’s not right, but for $20 at goodwill – $30 with the shoes, it’ll do for now! It’ll also be good for Megacon, since he’s going to do comic-book based Joker and there’s a little more wiggle room there.
After work we had to run home and get my stuff, and then we headed to my aunt’s to hand out candy. I put on Sleeping Beauty and Chase put on Vader.

Well, we only had two kids come to the door before Ash got there and it was time to leave to go to the zoo party. 🙁 I went and put Slave Leia on and we headed down to the zoo. I didn’t take the camera but Ash got a few pics on her iphone, once she uploads those I’ll put them in my flickr gallery too.
As for the zoo party… there was hardly anyone there when we got there. We got Chase into Vader and headed on in. It was maybe 40 people just hanging around the courtyard. We had pizza and then Chase and I were in the costume contest. I’m sure you can figure out how that went, it always goes the same way for costumers at halloween parties like these LOL We weren’t even in the final 3 – we were beat by a guy dressed like Noah’s Ark, a Michael Phelps, and a Marilyn Monroe.
The party would have also been more fun if Chase hadn’t been in Vader and could have, y’know, talked to us or drink or eat LOL we didn’t stay too terribly long and headed out.
We ran over and picked our stuff up from my aunt’s and apparently right before we got there, there had been 6 deer on the front porch eating leftover pumpkin seeds!
Saturday was a lazy day, we cleaned up the house for our get-together later and ran some errands. I put on Sleeping Beauty and we packed up the car, picked up Kevin and headed to trunk-or-treat. This was the first year we brought our car and handed out candy ourselves instead of hanging around my aunt’s car and running around. We got Kevin in the Joker costume again, and Chase ended up not putting on his clonetrooper but just running around taking pics.

Once we ran out of candy, we packed up, took Kevin home, and went back to the house to meet up with Ash and had some yummy fondue.
Next weekend we’ve got the Make a Wish event in Arkansas, and I really want to put Sleeping Beauty on, maybe this weekend, and take some decent pics of it.
And otherwise… Chase has started on my Ahsoka parts, and I’m ordering my fabric today. This is going to be fast and furious trying to finish this thing.
