Rogue – X-Men (Ultimate X-Men)

Made for: San Diego Comic Con 2006

Background: I love Rogue and always wanted to do her classic yellow/green costume, but the opportunity came up to this one, so I jumped on it.

Journal Entries: Read more at my Rogue Blue tag

Patterns Used: Vogue V7949 (gloves)

Bodysuit: I bought the bodysuit online.

Boots/Gloves: The gloves I made using a Vogue pattern, and the straps at the top of them and the wrist I made the same way as the chest straps (see below) – they velcro closed. The boots I made the same way I made my Starfire boots – they’ve even got the exact same base boots. I repainted them and covered them in the yellow spandex. (I have a semi-tutorial on how I did these here!)

Accessories: The wig I bought from another costumer, and I adore it! The straps I made out of vinyl covered in yellow spandex, and stitched to create the ribbed look hers have. The center X piece was made of a plastic gizmo we found at Radio Shack, repainted, and then I created the yellow ring around it with model magic.

History: This was a fun costume, I like how it turned out. I sold it a few years ago!
