Padme – Star Wars (Rainbow Lake Gown – Version 4)

Made for: N/A

Background: I put this together mostly just to sell.

Journal Entries: Read more at my Padme Lake #4 tag

Patterns Used:
Custom

Dress:
I had some nice georgette that I ordered for something but then not used it for that project – so I decided I might as well use it and make a lake dress. I used the patterns I’d come up with in 2006, just tweaked a bit more. I decided to make the underdress out of spandex this time – a little heavier than it should probably be but I liked the drape and it was very comfortable. I did actually do the satin edging this time around! I just used packs of satin blanket binding. I was also really, really happy with the way the georgette draped for this dress! It also took to the dye really nicely.

Accessories:
Chase made the necklace and armbands to go with it. My hairpiece is from lake dress #2, and the shoes are my Amidala parade shoes.

History: Once I was basically done with it I was so pleased I wanted to keep it – I kept it in my costume closet for a few months before finally putting it up on ebay. Gotta make room for #6, I guess. 😛
