So this costume is actually not mine. It’s Ash’s Alucard costume. We put it together for her to wear to A-Kon in 2003, built almost entirely out of goodwill finds. She decided to bring it to Anime Expo 2003 also.

Before the con, I realized I had this pin-stripe vest and pants in my closet. I asked Ash if I could borrow parts of her Alucard, she said sure. So Thursday night, before the con actually started, I wore my own little version of “Alucard” – with the vest and pants, shoes out of my closet, a wig for a costume I never did, and Ash’s accessories.

It was fun to run around in.
