Gold Sunburst Gown – Unused Concept

This was my last Padme! #100 of the project!
This one was based on a suuuuper rough black and white sketch for I think TPM. I chronologically placed it post AOTC/Clone Wars era.
I liked how the bodice/chest area of the concept sketch had some structure sort of like the Huttslayer Leia bikini top. So I decided to start there for a colour scheme/theme. Some warm browns (soft suede or leather) and gold tans (shot silk). As I worked some of the areas became lighter, more saturated yellow/gold, and combined with the gold metalwork I decided to go with a “sunburst” theme. It also gave me a chance to pull some inspiration from Worth’s Sunburst gown which I’d been wanting to bring in somewhere at some point!
All of the gold metal work from the hairpieces to the bodice “cage” and the jewelry leading down the skirt opening have moonstones … kinda sad my uploaded version is so small, you can’t see any of the detail! Maybe I need to add detail shots at the bottom of these.
Struggled a bit with some of the colours because it was looking very one note; ended up adding some blue/teals to break it up.
Overall it ended up a little muddled, but this is one of my fav Padme faces I’ve drawn.
