Grey Chiffon Gown – Unused Concept

So when I did this one, I couldn’t decide if I wanted it to be Queen Amidala (the concept art looked like it might be?) or Padme. I felt like it looked more mature, so I did as post AOTC/Clone Wars era Padme, perhaps for a Senate address or some other important function. I did do a second version in the Amidala makeup just to make sure, and yep, I like it better as Padme.

I REALLY love this one, I would love to make it. It’s almost all just layers and layers of black and grey chiffon, I especially love the sleeves. Black velvet waistband and black and blue velvet applique motif at the chest. For the fabric of the side skirts, I can’t decide if that would be something painted or a printed fabric.

The collar extends up and covers the head as a full, fitted hood, with openings for the two side “buns” and the large fan of hair on top to emerge, and the crown is gold and green jewelry, inspired by some art deco vintage pieces I was looking through.
