Purple Beaded Robe/Kimono – Unused Concept

This was another interesting concept to interpret… it was another one of those where I wasn’t sure if that was supposed to be hair or some sort of headpiece/hair-wrap? I decided to go with hair because that was the weirder (and more interesting) option. I imagine the floral “vines” wrapping around it are also structural and help keep the hair in place; if I were making this I’d build up the size with foam and wrap the hair around it.
The robe would be various silks with the motifs on the sleeve and neckline done as appliqued pieces of fabric, edged in white thread. Silver metallic belt. Lower half very edwardian inspired; beaded motifs on the hem of the first skirt.
