Red Armor – Unused Concept

Originally posted November 5 2018.

This was based on some concept art for a battle uniform for Padme; I’m not sure the art meant for the red parts to be armor, but I thought it would be fun to give Padme something so much more tactical than her other “action” outfits. Also I really like how it kinda mirrors the Imperial Knights armor/look.

So obviously the red chest, shoulder and elbow armor would be made of something “hard” like foam or worbla or plastic. Shined up so it’s glossy. The neckline of the chest piece is marked with a large, black jewel. Underneath the armor is dark purple-blue fitted shirt and loose fitting pants, the excess fabric held in at the knees with straps. In between the armor and the shirt/pants is the red dress, which is sleeveless and goes from the neck to the waist in the front, but has side and back panels that extend to the ankle, creating the “duster” effect. Held in place with a black strappy waistband “corset” of a deep blue leather. Black mid-calf boots.

Something about the hairline has always bothered me on this one. I should have redrawn it before calling it done.
