Tequila Sunrise – Unused Concept

So I’m now in the section of post AOTC/Clone Wars era costumes and I realize I probably should have done more of these as pre-AOTC! But oh well. Most of these just didn’t “feel” pre-AOTC.
This is another one that just felt really “old Hollywood Glamour” so I wanted to keep that vibe. The concept art I based this on was black and white so in picking a colour scheme, I decided I wanted the base dress to be a pleated gold lamé fabric, inspired by Marilyn Monroe or Cleopatra. Super shiny and gold. So then based the rest of the dress around that; bright yellows and oranges and pinks; the theme became “sunrise”.
When I added the square pattern to the front tabard piece I thought they looked kinda like ice cubes and that made me think of drinks and combined with the “sunrise” theme I started calling it tequila sunrise. LOL.

Anyway; the orange waistband piece is heavily beaded and embroidered, and the “sleeves” attach to it at the back. Inside section is dyed silk like the tabard, the “cuff” designs are appliqued and heavily beaded to create the different segments. (due to the weight of the beading, would likely have to “stabilize” these by attaching them to a fitted inner sleeve.)
The head ornaments are some of my favs; gold ornamental pieces and red lacquer “jewels”, with beaded ribbons hanging down to the shoulders.
