2014 Year in Review – 2015 Plans

It's that time of year!! Time to look back at what I accomplished and what I... didn't accomplish. So last year, I said I was going to make... 1. Willow – Buffy the Vampire Slayer Nope. Even though this would have been easy I just never got to it. 2. Johanna’s Interview Dress – Catching Fire I DID THIS ONE! OMG. 3. She-Ra No :( 4. Donna Noble – Partners in Crime Well, I kinda did this. ...

Dressform Pics – Last bit

Here's the last few I didn't have uploaded yet yesterday. Anne was a bit too big to properly spread out the train. Did the best I could in the space I had. I was surprised I was able to get Johanna's shirt on the dressform at all, but somehow I did. And I'm amazed the collar piece fit. (Early on in the photoshoot process, I got frustrated with the neck ...

MCFC – part 2

Saturday pictures! I wore the TARDIS in the morning: The angels have the phone box! Then I have a ton of costume contest pics up in the set! Unfortunately Chase didn't manage to get every contestant, but there's a good number. Dramatic judging: More judging: I love how I look more like Donna Noble when I'm not wearing my Donna Noble costume. Winners! The whole set is here!

Dragoncon pictures I stole from other people

I'm a nasty little thief, stealing pictures from other people. I love this shot of my Peggy with the USO Girls from Kaydee: Although it makes me think my jacket is a little big? I need to adjust the belt up higher and it's already wrinkling at that lower point. Hm. Anne onstage, from Sean Peck: Two gorgeous shots of my Johanna, the first from Jimmy Burns and the second ...

Dcon 2014: Marie Antoinette TARDIS costume

Well this one isn't NEW but it's updated and I'm really pleased with it! When I first did the TARDIS dress back in 2011, my plan was to create a couple of other underskirts to wear with it, so I could be different versions of the TARDIS. Well I never got around to that - mostly because I hate painting - until this year. I had planned on wearing this in ...

This weekend

Went to Mema's. Slept, ate, did a fat lot of nothing mostly. And this 2 weeks before dragoncon! But we came home early yesterday (with a sick puppy in tow. I think she over-indulged this weekend and made herself sick. she's still not feeling well.) and I dug in. I mostly finished Fires of Pompeii Donna. It took approximately 2 and 1/4 MST3K episodes. I need to go back and reinforce the ...

HAAAAT

I got my new hat for Marie Antoinette, omg I love it. Can't wait to decorate it this weekend. Also, now that my Peggy wig has fully dried - I really like it. I don't think I need to recurl it. I think I can just jump right into styling, so that's nice!

Work, etc

I didn't get a ton done this weekend. I was pretty lazy. I missed around with Marie Antoinette, getting her cleaned up for Dragoncon. I'm wanting to walk in the parade in her this year, so I played around with ways to bustle it. This is what I ended up with: I sewed the ribbons on last night for that, so that part is all set. I'm shopping for a ...

Dragoncon Costumes: Everything Else

Thoughts & Pics on all the "old" stuff I wore this year... 1. Belle I wore Belle Friday morning for a while. Had wanted to wear it again but didn't get a chance. (Well, that's a lie, there were chances... I just didn't have the energy for it!) I love how it looks with my Marie Antoinette hoops, and really happy with the wig now that I restyled it. If I'm ...
