Ling Xiaoyu – Tekken 3 (2nd Player)

Made for: Animazement 2002

Background: My friend did her 1st Player Pink costume for Animazement, so I did the 2nd Player blue costume to match.

Patterns Used: None

Top: I made the top without a pattern, using a stretch knit. All the yellow bits are also stretch knit – all the smaller curly-cue design pieces I glued on, because sewing them looked wonky. The design on the back was tough to work out – I had to put the game in and keep pausing it to try to see the whole thing, and then I sketched it out, used that as a pattern to cut it out of my yellow knit, and glued the pieces on.

Accessories: I bought the shorts and added the yellow to them. The shoes were old boots of mine – I covered them in fabric and added the black pieces to the top. I really liked how they turned out! Also made some hair ribbons out of my yellow knit.

History:I wore this a few more times, but it was SO hot to wear! I really have no photos of my own of it, so one day – new photoshoot.
