Today’s question is…
Just how many costumes have you done?
It’s really hard to make a complete list. Everytime I try I end up forgetting something. But I’m going to give it a go.
(I’m not counting costumes I made for friends, unless I also wore them at some point.)

1. Star Trek TNG Uniform – my mom made this for me and I wore it at MidSouthCon when I was a kid. She says there are picture but I have yet to see them.
2. Groucho Marx – Maybe should not count, it was a Halloween costume, but it was the first time I went out of my way to put together a costume myself.
3. Britan – Halloween 1998. I have no pictures – scanned, that is. I found some actual photos a while back, just need to throw them in the scanner at some point.
4. Quistis – First sewing project with mom & grandma – Halloween 1999.
5. Super Sailor Jupiter – And the second one, for Halloween 2000!
6. Selphie – For my first anime con, Animazement 2001. I have a photo of me ironing this over at my grandma’s as we were working on it. My mom thought it was funny because I had probably never touched an iron before that.
7. Beatrix – Animazement 2001. This costume completely fell apart and I only have a handful of tiny scanned in photos from the con.
8. Sakura – Animazement 2001 again! I swear I’m like, 5 years old in that photo.
9. Rinoa – I don’t talk about this one very often because up until recently, I didn’t have photos online of it. I put this together for my cousin, and of course had to wear it myself for a few photos.
10. Britan – Version 2 – Put this together for Animazement 2001 as well.
11. Asuka Sundress – Bought this on ebay, wore it to a couple of cons and sold it.
12. Sailor Mars – Another ebay purchase. Didn’t like how this looked on me so I resold it after taking a few pics.
13. Sailor Moon – it might be a little wrong to include this one – but I paid for the dang costume so I’m going to include it. I spent over $100 (a lot of money at the time!) on a Sailor Moon costume on ebay. I had to pay to get online at a little kiosk while on vacation to keep up with my bids (pre-buy-it-now) and to get it paid for. I bought a wig, and some boots to mod…….. and then the costume never showed up. I never heard back from the seller, never got my money back. I used the boots and the wig to take this photo while wearing my Jupiter costume, and colour corrected it to Moon’s colours, just to see what it was going to look like. And then of course I never got the costume and this is my only record of the fact I was going to do this.
14. Ranma – I bought this costume in Epcot! This is the only pic I have of this, though – I sold it not long after.
15. Milly – Made out of stuff I found in our attic, for MTAC 2001.
16. Piper – I way overpaid for that wig, especially considering I never wore this anywhere.
17. Wolfwood – I got the “official” Wolfwood glasses at Animazement so I put together a female Wolfwood costume.
18. Cammy – Put together for MTAC 2001. Discovered I hate spirit glue.
19. Utena – One of the first costumes I was really super pleased with. Made for MTAC 2001.
20. Ruby Moon – First costume I ever wore in a costume contest, and first one I won anything with, at MTAC 2001 š
21. Hermione – Made for the movie opening – my very first version featured a patch made out of construction paper. Updated it later on, obviously š
22. Elf Version 1 – Put together for LOTR midnight show. I’ve used this cape with a ton of other costumes.
23. Britan Version 3 – Finally one of these I have a picture of. I had a wig for it at one point, but I don’t think I ever took pictures of it all on together.
24. Chairperson (Rival Schools) – I forgot about this one until I was digging through old photos recently.
25. Rally Vincent – Adventures in wig styling. Even though I made this over the winter of 2001/early 2002, I didn’t wear it anywhere until Otakon 2002 that year.
26. Galadriel – I should make a “real” Galadriel costume one day.
27. She-Ra – Made for MidSouthCon 2002!
28. Lulu – Won a little prize at Animazement 2002 with this.
29. Xiaoyu – a duo with Ash for Animazement 2002.
30. Misato – Another one for Animazement 02!
31. Leia – My first Leia, for the Attack of the Clones midnight show.
32. Lara Croft – I started putting this together and intended on updating some more parts and wearing it to Dragoncon, but never got around to it.
33. Urd – Adventures in double sided tape, for Otakon 2002
34. Lina Inverse – Another one for Otakon 2002!
35. Lum – A quick costume for Otakon as well. I went to Otakon with my grandparents and didn’t want them to see this costume, so I put it in a backpack and changed at the convention center LOL
36. Buffy – This happened because we decided my Lina pants looked like Buffy pants.
37. Ocha – My first foray into body paint. It was a disaster.
38. Shadowcat – And my first superhero costume!
39. Padme Lake Dress, version 1 – My first Padme Lake dress, for my first Dragoncon (2002).
40. Arwen Chase Dress – was for Halloween 2002.
41. Naru – Put this together and then sold it.
42. Sakura School Uniform – Made out of stuff I had on hand.
43. Rally Vincent – The black suit, again, made out of stuff I already had, as a way to reuse the wig.
44. Eowyn Shiledmaiden Gown – Made for a Tolkien party in late 2002/early 2003.
45. Belldandy – For Katsucon 2003 – I totally fell in love with this costume, I rewore it again in 2014!
46. White Utena – Katsucon 2003
47. Sailor Jupiter – Updated my version from Halloween 2000.
48. Amalthea – One of the few I can’t fit in anymore – it was too small originally anyway.
49. Chun-Li – Another Katsucon 2003 costume.
50. Integra – Put together out of found stuff and some alterations, for A-Kon 2003.
51. Yuffie – This is the one where a guy came up and told me he hated me. LOL
52. Sana – Made to go with Ash’s Mama costume for AKon 2003.
53. Ruby Heart – One of my few costumes that no longer exists – the vinyl has completely shredded.
54. Nanami – Another one for A-Kon 2003
55. Hellsing Belldandy – This was kind of a fad back then, to mash up two characters for a fun costume – I made up a “Hellsing” Belldandy out of stuff I had and wore it at A-Kon with my Belldandy wig and makeup. (Lost the pic I had of it. Will find and relink later)
56. Alucard – This was parts of Ash’s Alucard costume with a suit of my own. Wore it a bit at Anime Expo 2003.
57. Morrigan – Duo with Ash as BBHood for the AX Masquerade.
58. SeraMyu Jupiter – Another one for Anime Expo
59. Asuka – And another one for Anime Expo. Rewore this one a lot, always enjoyed it.
60. Devo Costume – I got talked into being in a play and my character was part of a band. We decided to dress like Devo, so I made the hats. There are pictures somewhere.
61. Jubilee – I put this together for my cousin and of course had to try it on for myself.
62. Susan Sto Helit – I started on this in 2002 and didn’t finish it until 2003!
63. Padme Senate – Last minute overnight shipments of velvet because I ran out two days before Dragoncon….
64. Blossom – Trio with the girls for the Dragoncon 2003 parade.
65. Teela – For whatever reason I’ve seen this costume of mine get trashed several times because “I drew the snakes on.” No, the snake chestpieces were appliques. The first time I wore it, they blended in too much, so I went back and painted on shadows around them so they’d stand out. Could have done a better job of that, but I just always want to point out they’re not draw on.
66. Samara – Junky “for fun” costume for Halloween night that year.
67. Quidditch – The saga of the sweater… plus I lost my beautiful cape at some point š One of the few costume things I’ve straight up lost.
68. Arwen White Dress – for the ROTK midnight show, which we went to in New Orleans.
69. Belldandy Manga – a fun way to reuse my Belldandy wig.
70. Tohru – Simple school uniform costume for Katsucon 2004.
71. Padme Battle Suit – I needed an easier to wear Star Wars costume. It got multiple upgrades over the years.
72. Hild – A personal fav, though a pain in the butt to wear.
73. Dark Phoenix – For SDCC 2004.
74. Imperial Officer – I made this mostly because I wanted to join the 501st.
75. Anna Valerious – Another personal fav, it’s one of those I often think of remaking because it was so much fun to wear.
76. Shadowcat AOA – I only wore this ONCE! I need to do a photoshoot.
77. Galadriel #2 – Styled a blonde wig and got new jewelry to turn my original Arwen costume into Galadriel for a skit at SDCC 2004.
78. Ozma – Another personal fav. For a duo with Ash as the Patchwork Girl.
79. Lessa – We did a little Pern group for Dragoncon that year.
80. Padme Wedding Dress – My attempt at reproducing a costume based on concept art.
81. Hermione Granger – Outside of Leia, I’ve probably worn this costume the most out of them all.
82. Princess Leia – The beginning of a rabbit hole.
83. Elf Version 2 – Got this lovely purple velvet for Christmas and struggled with what to use it for. Finally made a new elvish cloak.
84. Dazzler – I had bought the suit for something else and it didn’t work for that – so I put this together. Never wore it anywhere.
85. Queen Amidala – My one Episode I costume, and one of my favs I’ve done.
86. Mara Jade – for Celebration 3.
87. Yuuko – For A-Kon 2005. This costume gave me fits. One of those where everything that can go wrong, does.
88. Spidergirl – I wanted to make my own swimsuit that year. I made a spider-man swimsuit.
89. Slave Leia – I always said I’d never do this costume, but there it is and I sure did wear it a lot.
90. Starfire – I braved the body paint again and this time it worked much better.
91. Arwen Red – Another personal fav, I need to get a new wig so I can wear it again.
92. Rebel Leia – Boy getting that Star Wars Costumes book showed me just how wrong my version of this is.
93. Belle – For a Disney group with my friends at Dragoncon 2005. I love this costume.
94. Ceremonial Leia – Quick version of this dress for Halloween that year.
95. Bespin Escape Leia – was supposed to be Hoth but I didn’t get the vest finished – I wore it this way for a couple of cons before finishing the vest.
96. Padme Lake Dress, version 2 – Second version! Sold this one to make version 3!
97. Leia Poncho – Based on a doll outfit. Had another one of her doll outfits almost done but never got around to finishing it.
98. Stormtrooper – MidSouthCon 2006!
99. Animated Leia – I actually hated this statue at first, then it grew on me, then I made the costume. Haha.
100. Dark Phoenix – Sacrificed my black suit for my Stormtrooper so I remade it with the traditional red.
101. Ripley – Done for an Aliens group at Wonderfest 2006.
102. Leia – Remade my Leia dress for WSMI in 2006!
103. Mustafar Padme – I had some leftover suede, so there you go.
104. Rogue – My first Rogue costume! She was always a fav!
105. Padme Lake Dress, version 3 – My 3rd version of the lake dress for SDCC 2006!
106. Belle Village Dress – Made this for Dragoncon 2006 but never wore it. Ended up remaking it the next year.
107. Corde – Another personal fav, from Dragoncon 2006.
108. April – Duo with Chase for Dragoncon.
109. Mandalorian – All the cool kids were making custom mandos so I wanted one, too!
110. Hoth Leia – Finally finished my Hoth vest and accessories.
111. Dorothy – Was supposed to be a group for Halloween but I was the only one who did the costume.
112. Wonder Woman – Mostly piece-mealed together but a lot of fun to wear.
113. Ceremonial Leia – Wanted to make a proper version.
114. Belle Winter Dress – I had some red velvet, what could I use it for? So I made this for MTAC 2007.
115. Utena – A costume I never really finished, but still wore a couple of times.
116. Ewok Leia – Another Leia costume off the list.
117. Padme Funeral – My mom gave me the velvet for Christmas! This was several months worth of work, since I didn’t quite finish it in time for Adventurecon and had to go back and work some more on it.
118. Marion – A quick fun project, wore it to Dragoncon 2007.
119. Leia Endor – Remade parts of my rebel uniform for this project.
120. Rogue Movie Suit – I bought this on ebay to go with Chase’s movie-verse Wolverine.
121. Marasiah – One of those I should have spent more time on.
122. Action Figure Leia – I made this but didn’t wear it until years later for a photoshoot.
123. Boushh – Never thought I’d get to make this costume but here it is. I need a new helmet.
124. Kingdom Come Wonder Woman – Dream costume come true!
125. Belle Village Dress – Second version of her village dress for Halloween 2007!
126. Belle Green – Next on the list of Belle costumes…
127. Scarlet Witch – Let Chase pick my next costume (out of a list of possibilities I’d compiled). This is what he picked.
128. Giselle – Fun, quick costume for Adventurecon 2008.
129. Poison Ivy – Another simple costume, Giselle and Poison Ivy were both made right around my wedding so couldn’t get into any intense projects!
130. Padme Snowbunny – Put this together intending to sell it but ended up keeping it š
131. Padme Lake Dress Version 4 – I loved this one and I’m a little bummed I sold it š
132. Beastly Belle – Done for a Horror/Undead Disney group at Dragoncon 2008.
133. Glinda – Book version of Glinda, wasn’t happy with the finished product – intended to revisit it but still haven’t.
134. Selene – Mostly bought stuff, done as a surprise for Chase who loves Underworld.
135. Black Canary – Made to go with Chase’s Green Arrow but I enjoyed it so much I wore it a lot more without him š
136. Zatanna – Got to put this together when another costume fell through.
137. Starfire – More body paint and a giant wig, this was a lot of fun.
138. Ame-Comi Wonder Woman – My big project for that year that nearly fell apart when a commissioner didn’t come through with the goods. Managed to scrape it together for Dragoncon 2008.
139. Sleeping Beauty – My Halloween costume that year!
140. Ahsoka – Put together for a 501st event, only wore it twice since it was so much paint.
141. Sally Jupiter – Really enjoyed this costume, made for Megacon 2009.
142. Huntress – Purple all over Bruce Timm version. Need to wear this again.
143. Wonder Woman – Classic style to replace my Alex Ross version – made most of this one instead of buying pieces.
144. AOA Rogue – A new Rogue costume, this one for Dragoncon 2009.
145. Marvel Girl – A simple costume that got more use out of the forms made for my Huntress mask.
146. Ame-Comi Poison Ivy – A fun variation for Dragoncon 2009. I left moss all over the Marriott.
147. Black Canary – Classic style! I haven’t worn this since 2009 since I’m afraid the bodysuit won’t withstand another wearing!
148. Anne Boleyn – My big project for 2009!
149. Snow White – Halloween costume for 2009, one of my favourite Disney costumes I’ve done.
150. Ms Marvel – Super simple costume but one of my personal favs.
151. Jane – Another fun project, I always love wearing this costume.
152. Julia – Had the suit so I cobbled together the accessories so I’d have an anime costume for MTAC 2010.
153. Donna Troy – A quick project made possible by needing to buy more fabric to meet the minimum purchase LOL
154. Black Widow – Another project that was mostly accessories, since I already had the suit.
155. Lady Gaga – A headache in the making.
156. Magik – One day I will wear this costume again, I swear it.
157. Arica – One of my fav builds of 2010.

162. Enchantress – Green is my fav colour, I had a lot of fun making this.
163. Hippolyta – Loved making this awesome costume for MidSouthCon 2011.
164. Donna Noble – I’ve worn this a lot. I like it, it’s comfortable.
165. Lady Blackhawk – This was a lot of fun to make, the patches in particular.
166. Emma Frost – My own take on Emma, with a mini-dress version.
167. Rogue Shi’ar Suit – The shoes broke at the con. Didn’t get to even wear it on the floor.
168. Marie Antoinette – Another dream costume come true *_*
169. First TARDIS – I count the TARDIS variations as separate costumes, even though they use the same dress – hey if Black Widow and Julia are two different costumes, the TARDIS and Marie Antoinette costumes are too LOL
170. Valkyrie – A lot of fun to put together, sadly only wore it for about an hour at the con. Need to wear it again.
171. Ms Marvel – Another quick project that ended up being a fav.
172. Rose Tyler – Got the jacket as a freebie so put together a “close enough” version for fun at GMX 2011.
173. dcnu Wonder Woman – Was supposed to be for GMX 2011, didn’t get to wear it til Halloween that year.
174. Donna Noble – Another simple, comfortable Donna costume.
175. Romana II – Threw this together to go with Chase’s K-9.
176. Fluttershy – For a group at Dragoncon 2012!
177. Wasp – A weekend project for Dragoncon 2012 – got to reuse a lot of stuff I already had!
178. Belle – My second Belle ballgown, wanted to do my own take on it this time.
179. Batgirl – Had been planning Stephanie Brown for a long time, but loved the new 52 suit, so did that version instead.
180. Emma Frost – Updated the 2011 version to the more traditional corset version for Dragoncon 2012.
181. Sarah Sanderson – Did the whole group for Dcon that year.
182. Time Lord – Done for a group of 4 Time Lords! it was awesome.
183. Dr Forrester – Quick mad scientist costume for Halloween 2012 – updated it for con wearing later on.
184. Fionna – Fun, comfy costume for C2E2 2013.
185. Supergirl – Another simple costume – this time thanks to grandma buying me a bunch of spandex š
186. Trillian – For a duo with Chase as Zaphod.
187. Glimmer – For an epic He-Man/She-Ra group at Dragoncon 2013.
188. Romana I – Another costume to go with K-9, this one turned into my big project of 2013.
189. Donna Wedding Dress – I’d like to remake the dress on this! I just don’t want to do all the beading again.
190. Donna Partners in Crime – No pics because I’ve been unhappy with the way the pants fit. Will probably buy new ones before wearing it anywhere.
191. Donna Turn Left – Again no pics – I have the jacket and I’ve gathered up the other pieces, but I’ve yet to take photos. I want to make the beetle anyway.
192. Megara – On my wishlist for many years, finally did it for Momocon 2014.
193. Rogue as Ms Marvel – Concept art costume – lots of fun to make.
194. Donna Fires of Pompeii – A really simple costume I made some dumb mistakes on, gotta go back and fix.
195. Peggy – One of my fav projects of 2014, it was a really fun build.
196. Johanna – I started on this in Feb but ended up rushing to finish it for Dragoncon 2014 – thought I would hate it but was pleasantly surprised.

240. Arwen Hope Gown – Started this in 2019 but didn’t finish until late 2020.
241. Eliza Hamilton – I still haven’t actually finished this but it’s here anyway.
242. Dapper Day Dale – to match my husband’s Chip costume for Disney trip 2021!
243. Dapper Day Black Widow – I made this in 2020 but when our trip got moved to 2021, didn’t get to wear it until then!

So that’s it. Just four more and I guess I get to 200, LOL.
